Hello, my name is Damian Probett. Thank you for taking an interest in my guitars.

 

My inspiration comes from both a love of the great classic designs and also a desire to create instruments of my own design which are both superbly functional and aesthetically pleasing, whilst at the same time, offering combinations of features not readily available elsewhere.

DEMO DAYS CONFIRMED.

The first Probett guitars / Audio Kitchen Amplifiers demo days are to be held on the 11th and 12th of July  at Mark Angelo Recording  Studios, Acton, London, W3.

It is an oportunity to try my guitars and the truely wonderful Audio kitchen Amps in a relaxed, low pressure atmosphere.  You are welcome to bring your current guitars for comparison.

Due to a prior commitment I won`t be there in person  (see, I said it would be low pressure!).  However my current demo guitars will all be available.

17/06/08, Site updates

I have started work on the much overdue updates today.  The site is currently a mix of the old, the new and the half done.

I`m aiming to be finished by the end of the week.

 

 

16/06/08, London International Music Show

I would like to thank everybody who took the time to look at  and play the guitars. I received lots of positive feedback and kind words, for which I thank you all.

There were a few times when I was a bit busy, so I would like to apologise to anyone who did not get my fullest attention. I did try!

I`ve spent today making contact with as many people as possible. Tomorrow I will start to update the website. I will have photographs of the new guitars later this week and hope to have all the updates finished by friday.

 

Open days

One of the highlights of the show for me was meeting Steve and James from Audio Kitchen amps. (http://www.audiokitchen.co.uk/). Apart from being thoroughly nice people they make an absolutely stunning little 7w single ended amp. I was that impressed that I`m going to buy one!

We are planning to arrange some open days at their studio in Acton, West London. It will be an opportunity to try both their amps and my guitars in a rather better atmosphere than a music show allows.

I will announce dates as soon as things are finalised.

 

Demo/tour guitars

I am planning to have a couple of guitars as demo/tour instruments.  The plan is that I will send the guitar to you, you keep it or a couple of days, play it, gig it as you wish, then send it back to me or on to the next person on the list. (Of course there is always the option of buying it too!)

Details are not finalised yet. If anyone is provisionally interested then just drop me a line to let me know what you might be interested in. It would help me finalise the plan.

 

10/06/08 , Site update

I have recently been working on some redesigns of my existing guitars and also some new models.  Unfortunately this has left me short of time to keep this site updated.   When I return from the London Guitar Show it will be my main priority.

Until then, please accept my apologies for the somewhat "stagnant" nature of the site recently.
