Frequently Asked Questions

General Information

Do you make custom guitars?

Sorry but we currently only build our own designs.

What are the warranty details?

All our guitars are guaranteed against faulty materials and workmanship to the original purchaser for as long as they own the guitar.
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage caused by misuse or abuse. Neither are we responsible for damage caused by accident, improper maintenance or repair.

How do you ship guitars?

All guitars are shipped in a Hiscox Liteflite case which is further protected by an additional layer of 1” polystyrene sheet in a custom made double wall box.

Guitar Information

What fretwire do you use?

Standard specification is Jescar stainless steel wire with nickel silver as an option.  Various sizes are available.

What strings do you use?

All Rocket models are fitted with D`Addario EXL 110 strings (46-36-26-17-13-10).

What are the neck specs?

All Rocket models have a neck carve based on my favourite vintage guitars. There are currently 2 shapes, both of which share the same dimensions. One is a rounded “C” shape, the other is a slight soft “V” profile.
Nut width : 43.5mm
Neck thickness at 1st fret: 22.5mm
Neck thickness at 12th fret: 24.5mm

What type of Rosewood do you use for Fingerboards?

We select fingerboards for specific purposes. Currently we use Amazon Rosewood, Indian Rosewood and Madagascar Rosewood. (We cannot ship Madagascar Rosewood to the US).

Do you make left handed guitars?

Not currently but we hope to in the future.
Our machining processes require several custom jigs which need to be re-made to produce left handed guitars. It is on our “to do list” and might well happen sooner if there is sufficient demand.

I`d like to make some adjustments to my guitar. I`m unsure how to proceed?

If you are unsure about any aspect of maintenance or adjustment please do contact us before starting work.  We are happy to help.
We also strongly recommend taking your guitar to an experienced guitar tech.
